initial setup for flammability limit study

I have read the paper "Prediction of flammable range for pure fuels and mixtures using detailed kinetics" and am very interested in th method to get the flammability limit. However, when I use the OpenSmoke++ to calculate laminar flame speed of a mixture of CO/H2/CH4/C2H4/C3H6 using CRECK mechanism near lean limit, there is some problem with convergency of the equation. So I am looking for help on this convergency problem and hope to get a exmaple on the initial setup of such kind of question.
